Panasonic DMR-E75V dvd problem
It may not be able to read the new format movies. Do you have any old movies to try?
Other than that, when I was repairing them at Sony, they are almost all the same.
A DVD read problem was usually a bad Laser Optic. Replaced thousands of optics between DVD players and Play Stsation 2's.
Down Under !!! I am Retire Navy and have been to Western Australia twice, 1978 and 1989. Great Place,

DVD PLAYER
Did you finalize the disc? You must do this on the recorder you made it on and then it will play on other players.

Compatible dvd-r discs?
I've never had much luck with DVD-R's but the DVD+R's that I've used work just fine; Verbatim and TDK have both worked.

Eject button is not working
I had this problem and thought it was time to get rid of my vcr. I could still record and playback but could not eject. I was ready to toss the thing out, then decided to open the unit just to see what I could see. Turned out, someone had should've a DVD in the VHS slot, (probably my granddaughter) and it was keeping it from ejecting. Don't know if your solution could be as easy as mine, but you never know.

No video output when played on vhs
try cleaning the cylender head of your vcr you can do that by opening the unit or buying vhs vcr casset cleaner....
ps : check if you have to switch between tv and vcr via remote , and when you insert the vhs tape you are able to rew and frw and press play normally...if these are ok usually its a little dirt onthe cylender head....hope this helps...

Won't read disks
According to page 69 of the owners manual:
If you repeatedly insert discs or turn this unit on and off 50 times or more, the recording or editing of DVD-R may be disabled.
There is no suggestion to fix.

DMR-E75V
Same issue here. Ive tried diff disks, unplugging, blow-off, laser cleaner. I am wondering if it is temp related since it seems to work better in out thin air cool nights. I have adjusted its position to alow better airflow and may take a cold shower myself. Jim in BerqueNM

Record tv with Panasonic DMR-E75V DVD Player / VCR
Not sure about this, but my guess would be that you don't have the correct channel set on the DVD recorder. It has to be the channel that you use to receive your signal, NOT the channel that you necessarily want to record. For instance- if you use channel 3 to receive your signal from dish, cable etc but want to record a program on (hypothetically) CBS which is (again hypothetically) channel 24 from your dish or cable provider you would go to "Prog/Check" on the remote, highlight the "New Timer Program" line and press "Enter", and then use the numeric buttons to select channel 3 (the channel you use to receive your signal, NOT 24, the channel you want to record). You will have to program your dish/cable box to provide the channel with the content you want to record, in this case- 24.
Not sure if that was your issue, but hope this helps.

Timer Recording
To schedule a weekly or Mon-Fri program on the DVD scroll back in the "date" box (instead of forward to a future date. You will have options for once a week or Mon-Fri.
