Adjusting high and low water pressure

If you've noticed the water pressure in your home is either too high or too low, you may need to adjust your water pressure regulator. Water pressure is measured in "psi" (pounds per square inch) and should be set between 50-60psi for home use. Anything greater than 60psi can damage residential water lines and appliances. Not all homes have a water pressure regulator installed, but if you have one and can locate it, all you need is a few tools to begin adjusting your best pressure washer

Why will water not flow through hose into the spray gun with the washer not started as well I started the power washer and the water still does not come out.

My Craftsman pressure washer has a filter in the hose tp the pressure wand. I found I must have had some dirt in my garden hose and these filters were plugged. No pressure at all till I cleaned them out.

How does a uploader work

Do you mean unloader? That would be a valve that dumps the discharge pressure back to the suction side when the trigger is releasesd.

What can you use as an extention hose with the original hose?

anything that has the same I.D. (inside diameter) as the original. Do NOT use a 1/4" I.D. hose on anything over 3200 PSI and don't use a 3/8" I.D. on a unit that uses a 1/4" I.D. hose because it will cause a pressure malfunction. Also make sure they have the same mate threads such as 22mm or whichever.

Where are the filters located on the craftsman 2700 power washer

The only filters on a pressure washer are: Where the hose hooks up to the pump there is sometimes a washer with a screen inside it. The syphon hose usually has a fine filter on the end that drops into the detergent. If this question is related to your other post see my answer there.

Diagram of a craftsman power washer

The only filter on the detergent pickup is usually at the end of the hose you drop into the detergent. To clean the line and syphon attachment only requires a little pressurized air to blow out any debris that may be in the line. Make sure you are using the black, soap tip on the pressure gun when trying to use the detergent syphon system. If you are using any of the high pressure tips there will be too much back pressure in the line for the syphon to work.

Stalling pressure washer

Make sure you have a strong water supply going into it. On the two I have owned, they would struggle and the motor would "rev up" quite a bit if there was even a slight kink in the supply hose, or if the tap wasn't opened all the way.
