Very common problem with the motor or circuit which will have to be replaced. They are usually all in one piece. The capacitors go bad and mess everything up.

clean the lens,if it didnt work replace the lens.

I have a cant play error for dvdrs and I used to be able to play all of them

America makes it hard for any of us to view CD's from other regions. I've had to pay out to have videos and DVD's converted. Other options are playing them on your computer dvd with software that will play different regions. Go to New Zealand or Australia and buy yourself a player that will play other regions. Other countries cater for international viewing.

Locate the input or source button one the face of the Tv and see if you can change the source that way and let me know..

This TV is 10 years old and probably requires a service that replaces the backlight invertor or just a power supply issue. Check to see if the light blinks. (That is the fault code and then google the result for more information).
