If the notebook battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

Why wipe it? As long as the drive isn't encrypted you can just blank out the password. Download and burn Hiren Boot CD to a disc. Put it in this laptop and make sure boot to CD is first in your boot order in BIOS. Then follow the video.

Dial up requires a modem instead of a LAN card. It uses an RJ-11 phone plug and not the bigger RJ-45 LAN plug. You also need a dial up internet service provider, and possibly software to make the phone call. There is a Connections setup in Internet Options, under Control Panel if you don't have the software.So, you are right on track. now that you have done that there is a box above delete your brower history hit the little arrow and chose same as pocket pc
oh one more thing/in your advancesettings be sur to select always send urls and allow page transition
now that is done turn the wi fi on and wait for your net work then connect on it go down and hit oka.
if that dosent work read the part in the manual for connecting to the wifi
