USB or DVD at the install media is. ordered correct in BIOS and use boot on the fly hot key of most PCs, that have that, and force boot USB/DVD and when phase 1 ends the 2nd boot lands on HDD.

Enable raid mode in bios setup. nForce Drivers WILL install the MediaSheild software!!!!!!!!!! The sata hdd's must also be configured into a NVidia Stripe at least using the bios sata/raid config. tool(F10 on my board) then nForce driver install should offer it up. I have no problems installing or removing EVEN ON MediaSheild from Dualboot XP-SP2 X86 or Vista x86.

you forgot to say DVD movie (2 words) and say store bought real movies and not clones, hacks and RIP's , use real disks first.. Well first off the drive front of tray must be stamped. DVD. your manual told you to do this, read the tray front if DVD is there then it is a DVD drive. and must one and if is, it has a license to PLAY (inside) to play dvd movies. all movies fail or just 1, not told that. if you use explorer ,(local, My PC) there must be files seen there. if not the OS is infected or the driver DVD is missing or wrongsee files below of avg dvd movie real (store real bought) not fake.next and last is load and use VLC. Ok here ya go burn a DVD in Vista:
Insert blank disc
Window automatcally comes up click "Burn Files to Disc"
Type a name for the disc
Use Live Disc Format
Click Next--takes a minute to format
After formatting a special disc burning window opens waiting for files; drag them over and your done

try to change the source, that should solve the problem. But before try reset CMOS. (if you don`t know how to do it by jumper simple remove the battery from the mainboard for 5 minutes and then plug it back on..and after that turn on your computer and press F1 for default settings)

Download and install VLC, try playing the dvd with this program instead.

You are right when you say it's really slow when you play games online, 1. The Game server is accessing by you through wires and network devices, so this makes the games slow. If the game is installed in your pc, there's should be no speed problem, 2. Network bandwidth will be accumulated by the game when you run the program, so don't take tension,... we are facing the same problem and it's just normal. There's nothing different. Good luck

Check what is the ipaddress,tried to shut down the laptop and drain flea power.Then check if the laptop can detect wireless connection. Then ping website in command prompt.Try ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew. Try connecting wired internet connection to check if issue with operating system or browser or wireless connectivity.
