How many times per second does the POWER led blink? (dont worry about the OPC).

1x per second (constant, steady blink) = bad inverter/lamps
2x per second = bad power supply
3x per second = bad main board

Ok This is how to troubleshoot the TV, there are lights on the front and you are mainly concerned with two of these lights (the power light and the OPC light). I) If non of the lights come on then this is a AC Power failure (There is a loose connection or you need to check the Power/Inverter unit or the Main unit) II) If the power light is blinking at a rate of one blink per min and the OPC light is off (then there is a CCFL backlight problem) III) If the power light is blinking at a rate of two times per min and the OPC light blinks at a rate of one time per min (13V/UR10V failure you need to check the Power/inverter board or the main board). IV) If the power light is blinking at a rate or two times per min and the OPC light blinks at a rate of two times per min (3.3V Main Failure check power/inverter board or Main board). V) If the power light is blinking at a rate or two times per min and the OPC light blinks at a rate of three times per min (UR6V failure check power/inverter board or Main board). VI) If the power light is blinking at a rate or two times per min and the OPC light blinks at a rate of Five times per min (Panel 5V failure check LCD control unit or control panel).

GOOD NEWS - - According to the Sharp Technician I just spoke with a "Service Bulletin" went out to all their techs about the sound issue on these Sharp Aquos. I'm having the exact same sound probem and I'm in the process of having the technician come out at no charge so call the number given in Solution #6 and #9 (1-800-237-4277) and keep pressing #1 until you get a technician. Have your serial number ready and they will need your name, address and telephone #. They will then give you a case number and transfer you to dispatch (which closes at 5pm central). BTW - We also have the problem of the TV turning on and off by itself but the technician said they had not received a service bulletin about that yet.

Do you see the backlight ever coming to the screen?You will want to open the cover, disconnect the backlight inverter and try again to see if it will stay on even without an image.If it does it's the inverter.if it still shuts it's most likely (not guaranteed) either the power board itself or the main board.A good tech should be able to test the power board independantly fairly quickly.

No bluetooth can be added to this unit.

Not all TV programs are broadcast in 1080. When you use zoom or stretch on a program in 720 or 480 and a 1080 program is viewed you have to go back and take off zoom and stretch to get a correct picture.

You probably are not getting a picture.
