convergence, if that item is no longer to be seen in the menu a protect part near the HV transformer is gone, set prone to a lot of bad connections also in that same area---if convergence no longer in menu they sell a 3 part kit for that on the internet, plus you would want to solder all the connections around the area as well.

If you are missing one of the colors but still have an image (red, green or blue). Real simple, turn on the TV and see if there are any colors missing from those. Most rear projections have a color bar you can put up or a converge feature which is used for aligning the colors for a clear picture.

It sounds like the CP150 and or the CP114/120 capacitors need to be replaced, they cost around 3 dollars each and can be found at Radio shack or you can order them from http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/ and they will send instructions with them.

check the sorces like video 1 and stuff like that the tv may have a short in it

Sounds like you might have a cold solder or bad connection at the power supply. Don't fool with this yourself. TV's today are very delicate and you need to take it to a professional. It probably won't cost you much. Let him take a look at it, give you a price for repairs, then let him fix it for you.

Check the batteries in the remote 1st. If that don't work, call a TV tech to replace the IR sensor in the TV

Take set to a shop===this model rarely gets fixed by a do it yourself person. Common issues include bad high voltage transformer and bad solder connections at that part and around it, also bad HV splitter---etc.

Normally you would re-adjust it using the convergence menu. But if this menu is not avail under your TV menus then the convergence has failed and needs to be fixed. If that is the case you can get parts and repair instructions from sites such as www.TvRepairKits.com

Problem is in High voltage circuit and likely either the high voltage transformer or a connection right under or around it.

If it happens only at the moment of turn on that may be normal--the high voltage will make a sound when it comes up.If it is persistent or very loud it is time to turn the set off--this model does have one issue that may be what you are hearing---there is a high voltage splitter block in the set that does arc--a bit hard to get at.Let me know if further info on what is happening. A crackling sound is a bit general.

Rings mistakenly get tampered---nothing to do with focus--there are no "factory" settings for the rings on the lenses--they are focus--good luck as if have not done that before will need some help---
