HelloActually the fault is with your TVs power supply section. If you want to locate the fault, and to repair yourself, you must have through knoledge in electronic, and skill to locate the faulty components. In short; you must be an experienced service technican to do this work. As power supply voltages will be high, and potential to touch, since all the components in that board will be "Live" while working, you must be very causous too. If you can inform me. I'll send you the service manual to your TV. Upon seeing its schematic, you can determine whether you can do this work by yourself or not. It is in Adobe PDF format document. if you press menu then scroll down to setup then enter the setup menu does the auto convergence adjustment option still appear under the setup menu options or has it disappeared?

The probe is with its power supply baord. It gets overloaded or have a loose sodering joint in it that causes this proble. As you know, there is no on sentence answer to any electronic device defects, as they are composed of thousands of components together, each and every component have its own function when we switch ON the set. Just check for any loose soldeigs to this power supply baord, or have some defective components, like bulged capacitors. I hereby attaches the picture of the power supply baord to your TV. Along with attaches an other picture too, not related to your RCA TV, just to give you an idea about what a bulged capacitor will look like. Check these and inform me by Fixya. This is the picture of an other TV power supply, which has bulged capacitros in it. Just see the bulged capacitors, red arrow marked. You can see a good one at top right side of the board. OK.

if you have an idea about electronics you can do it with your own. the first place to be checked will be the power supply board, look for a blown fuse and any burnt parts. if their is an indicator but just only blinking that was mean the main board detect an error. the blinking of the indicator will till you the error. some error codes were you can found at the user manual.

this model does not use a bulb, but has 3 picture tubes. Most common problem for this is bad solder connections under the high voltage transformer.

This set has no reset feature either on the set or in the remote.

This set is well known for bad solder connections in and around the high voltage transformer (often called a Flyback). These develop from poor soldering when made and the fact that this set like most now uses lead free solder.This area (under and around the bottom) of the board can have connections that cause this no sound or picture and other issues including Convergence problems.I attach a photo of what a Typical Flyback looks like.
