I have a Toshiba 42H81 that has the power indicator light blinking and the TV will not turn on

2.Select your remote
3.On your left side you will have an option called as REMOTE CONTROL CODE FINDER.

4.Select the device you need to programme and the make of the device you will get the codes.

check the ff speaker,input/output amplifier , pre amplifier, audio signal from tuner or srs settings if possible

old tv. don't put anymore money in it. get you a nice flat screen. not work it being a projection. jmo

If you are seeing lines and or noise for the first several minutes and it goes away--I think I know what the problem is.

Has the period of time before it clears up been getting longer and longer?

A lot of these sets have problems with what is called a HYPER board----it controls all signal inside the set--confirm Toshiba and exact model number---

Hello, to replace the ir sensor, unplug the set, remove the speaker cover on the front, remove the screws around the plastic push button assembly, carefully remove the wire connections (plug connectors) off the assembly and remove the screws on the back side of the board and remove the board and replace it with the new assembly, re install the screws on the board, attach the wire connections and re mount the push button assembly and replace the speaker cover....tks
