Probably the button underneath is stuck. This is a membrane button that can get damaged and doesn't make good contact anymore. Since this is an old question, i dont think it matters anymore.

one step at a time do you get water with out putting the capsule what is it doing is there any sound coming from the pump do you have any flashing red light? need more info

remove the plate which is clipped neat the capsule holder and try again if it works see if you can opening the hole or replace

you have to change the plate which is based at the roof of the capsule holder it will wear out due to hot water

Part number is MS-622958 and it is still a current active part. Any Krups service agent will be able to order one for you. Let Google be your friend. I can't order it for you because I'm not in the USA and that is the only country your model is available for.

If something is broken inside, it will need to be taken apart for repair. Before that, try the following:

1. Unplug it.
2. Move the selection lever from cold to hot and back several times. Be sure the lever will move full stroke smoothly. Put the selection lever in the center position.
3. While firmly pulling the draw outward, "snap" the draw upward.

If that does not work, it will need to be disassembled.

Heat the cup before you use it, run hot water over it, or boiling water. The machine does not make very hot coffee otherwise.

Hi, Could be a number of things. Is your pump working. Thermoblock maybe blocked or faulty. A thermo sensor on the thermoblock maybe faulty. Brewunit maybe jammed. Descale will not help if it wont pump. Id be looking at the thermoblock or sensor. If their at fault then the machine will do nothing. See how you go and ill keep a look out for any more questions you may have. Dazza Repairer
