Is there a method to repair corrupted Outlook 2010 Address Book?

To fix this you can remove the Outlook Address Book service, restart Outlook, and then add it again as indicated by the steps above. Sadly this workaround will not work in Outlook 2007, 2010 and 2013 as removing the Outlook Address Book service is not supported in these versions. In this case, you must recreate your mail profile. (Re)creating a mail profile.. 1. Press the button Add... -Do NOT use Copy... not even when you want to recreate your mail profile or you'll end up copying the corruption as well. -Do NOT delete your old profile, not even when it is corrupted, before you verified that the new one works. You might want to lookup some account settings afterwards. 2. Enter a name for your new Mail Profile. 3. Select to add a new mail account. 4. Make sure you choose the correct account type. Ask your ISP or administrator if you do not know this. -If you are using Live Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo or AOL, you can find the settings you need here. -In Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013, you can simply type your desired display name, email address and password and Outlook will try to determine and configure your account automatically. If this fails you can still choose to configure it manually with the information provided by your ISP. If actions on above can't get back your address book, then try third party software Address Book Repair Toolbox http://www.addressbook.repairtoolbox.com/

How to Merge Multiple Outlook PST files into single one?

With the extended usage of Microsoft Outlook, the number of PST file may increase enormously. Lead to unmanageability problem and in such situation of mishandling, may result in Outlook files corruption or inaccessibility of PST file. Therefore, this calls for the merging of PST file into a common file to handle them smoothly. To merge multiple PST files into a single PST file manually with Outlook: First, open the PST files within your Outlook. In every version of Outlook, you are allowed to open the additional PST files. For Outlook 2007, you need to navigate through File menu > Open > Outlook Data File. After that browse to the PST file location and open the file in the system, select it and click OK. For merging your files you must repeat this for multiple PST files and move the Outlook content between PST files by either dragging and dropping them or by highlighting the content, right-clicking it, and selecting Move To from the context menu. Then navigate to the destination folder, and click OK. By this process, the content will be moved to the destination folder and removed from the source one. If your PST is large, say more than 1GB of data, then I recommend segmenting the files into two or more smaller parts and then move them in parts. This task may get tedious if you have plenty of PSTs and a lot of content. Then the third-party applications can help you complete your task in an easy and secure way. PST Merge Software can also provide you with the useful feature that could help you maintain you PSTs in Outlook.

How do you import contacts

When you install Outlook 2010, it automatically converts the Personal Address Book that you used in an earlier version of Microsoft Outlook. Outlook 2010 then adds the converted data to your Outlook 2010 Contacts folder. If Outlook 2010 does not automatically convert your Personal Address Book, you can import your Personal Address Book to Outlook 2010. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Start Outlook 2010.
  2. Click the File menu.
  3. Click Open, and then click Import. The Import and Export Wizard opens.
  4. Click Import from another program or file, and then click Next.
  5. Click Personal Address Book, and then click Next.
  6. Click Browse, locate the Personal Address Book that you want to import, and then click OK. Note Earlier versions of Outlook assign a .pab file name extension to a Personal Address Book. By default, Outlook stores the Personal Address Book in the following folder: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
  7. Click Next.
  8. Click Finish to import the Personal Address Book.

Incoming emails are not appearing in the inbox folder of Microsoft Outlook 2010.

Could be your Outlook profile got corrupted somehow. If you use your account settings on another PC w/Outlook does the trouble follow? Or is it strictly w/your PC? Obviously, other profiles are working fine (your partner's). One solution might be to backup your .pst file to the C: drive or a USB drive, completely delete your old profile, and build a new one. Once your confirm that email is working properly, then attempt to reload your old .pst file to get all your old email back.Something else you could try is to open Outlook in Safe Mode. This will run Outlook with minimal addons in order to eliminate the possibility that some sort of addon is the culprit. You can use one of these methods to start Outlook using a command line switch:Hold Ctrl key as you click the Outlook shortcut. If you use Vista or Windows 7, type outlook.exe /safe in the Start Search field on the Start menu then press Enter.
