It sounds that the convergence adjustments should be re-touched. If you wish to get more details, check this site linked below. Pull up older posts there. Jvc tv has double exposure and curve

Convergence is most likely for this model------that circuit in this set is right at front behind grill below the screen. If you can solder it is a do it yourself type repair with parts under 30 dollars (most shops get 250 average parts and labor) and I can tell you how to get that board out and what is needed.11_1_2012_3_22_55_pm.jpg11_1_2012_3_23_20_pm.jpgHere is the board removed from a set.

Why is the blue light on front blinking

My answer is based on the model number here-AV-56WP74 or similar--blue light blinking is shutdown to protect the power supply in the set.A few questions you could answer:before this happened was screen red (too much) or had colors skewed or a little 3d looking? The most common issue on this set if that is convergence and it can easily escalate to where it shuts the set down and blue blinks constant. There is a simple way to confirm or deny that issue--Got someone willing to try that? Set will be unplugged and entire front grill under screen removed to try it(I can tell you how and what to do)If no skill at all--consult a shop--if want I will answer questions or comments you post on this page--(add a comment button)SD TECH-

Someone offered me a jvc hdtv av-56wp74,and one person said just the bulb in the lamp has to be replaced;then when called jvc they said i had to by colored tubes for 300.00 each,,,,who do i believe

The tubes rarely fail in this model so it may be a convergence issue instead. Once quick test is to goto your convergence menu and see if you can adjust red and blue. If not its has failed and needs to be fixed. Here is an example video

I have a green line

Convergence issue, if you cannot fix it by convergence adjustment, is un-doubtedly due to malfunctioning STK amplifier ICs. There are two of them that need to be replaced . They are located behind large aluminium heatsinks as shown in the image below.
http://media.photobucket.com/image/deflection%20IC%20heatsink/bretski_fc/tv/IMG_4335.jpg
The ICs can be purchased on ebay by using the IC numbers in your set as search keyword. You will have de-solder the old ones, apply silicon based thermal grease to the replacements and solder them into the board. Note that you have to make sure that they are making good contact with the heatsink when you replace them. You will also need to test and replace any resistors that the ICs may have taken out when they have gone bad. I hope you know how to use a multimeter(or ohm-meter) and can read resistor color codes.

Purchased this 56" projection TV

You can get it repaired. Its maybe a resistor/s thats losing its value and needs to be replaced.
You can locate this on the mother board close to the or near to the Fly-back transformer section.
Good luck.
