Lg plasma tv lg rt42px10

If your screen has cracks running inside the display then you will need a replacement screen. The Plasma screen is the most expensive part and would cost almost the price a new TV as there would also be a labour cost to add on.

No Picture

Hi!

It can be the issue with the lamp or convergence circuit. Did this happened due to the power surge?

Noise in picture when hooked to cable, dvd, and playstation.

Almost always this is some sort of RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) either being generated within the tuner/tuning parts of the television itself, or a nearby component... do you have anything nearby the TV that has a huge transformer coil such as a Reciver/Amplifier?

I would suspect a cheap DVD player before the playstation, but I've had multiple components in which I had to move them away from the TV.

Lg 42" has no picture. but has sound.

Ther aren't any customer fixes for these plasma TVs. When you have no picture on a plasma TV there as many as 4 different circuit boards that could cause it. Sometimes it will require the replacement of more than one board. Call LG fro help. Depending on the age of the TV they may help with repair costs. At the very least, they can refer you to a local factory authorized service center.

My plasma tedelex no sound no picture but power is on

Sounds like (at minimum) you're going to need a new Y sus board. If you're lucky, you won't need the Z sus board, too. Many times they both go out at the same time.

LG 42PX10 Plasma

I just fixed my plasma with same looking problem. Mine is a 42PX11. Cost me $320.00 in parts from Fishwick Electonics. Replaced three circuit boards, crossed my fingers and turned it on and am happy to report it has been working fine since for about 6 months now.

Cracked Plasma screen

yes a plasma panel can be replaced but the cost on the panel is about 70% of the total sets price( not economical) and i dont think any manufacture or extended warranty will cover a repair like that its concider as a physical or cosmetic damage (sorry)

Tedelex EC-PD2000 42" plasma TV

Yes, I had the same problem, it happened after 14 months of my purchase, or just 2 months after expiry date of warranty. But remember they have 60,000 hours warranty on screen and this fault is part of screen (no picture J it is screen problem), I called LG, first they did not accept the claim but soon after I mentioned that I have done many research and this is very common problem due to use of faulty part or unreliable design, and if they don't fix it on their cost I will take legal action, one of the supervisor contacted me and after saying LALALALALALALALALALA accepted to send someone to fix with no cost. But I have found out they did to many others whom take this mater serious so it was not just me alone J They are aware of using faulty part is some ranges of their products and now this common problem appears, LG don’t like it and wants to somehow get away. ((((((((((So don’t let it happen))))))))) some of us paid around $5000 to $7000 when this TV came out, recently price went down to around $2000. CALL THEM and ask FIX or COURT? For sure they fix it for you free of charge J Imagine how much would it cost them to recall all TVs which they know is faulty?

REmote won't work

Buy a universal remote & program it for your TV. That's what I had to do. They don't cost that much & they are just as good, if not better (more features) than the remote that came with your tv. Sorry but I went thru this & this was the best solution!

Have you tried checking the fuses this is a solution i posted a little while ago!!! I was watching tv there was a popping noise and screen went blank. My husbands very practical and we took the back off the tv ,we tested the fuses with a fuse tester and one had blown we took the fuse too Maplin our nearest electrical wholesaler who found us new fuses £1.29 for a pack of 10. We replaced the blown fuse now everything works as it should. Hope this helps we saved about £275 by doing it ourselves but do make sure you feel competent enough to have a go its not that hard but do make sure you unplugg the tv from the electric before you attempt taking off the back and checking the fuses and be careful as tvs can store a electric ok

Taking off the back to check fuses

There are tiny screws in the back of the tv if you make sure you locate all of them and remove them carefully the back lifts off without causing damage. Make sure you keep note of which ***** came from which hole as the screws very in length!
We got our fuses from an electrical wholesaler Maplin.
Hope this is of help?
