Marantz CC-4300 5-Disc CD Changer Questions & Answers
Hi - the CD tray cannot open. It is empty - no
The loading tray belt has more than likely stretched or snapped. The buzzing you hear will be the motor spinning freely. The 'ERROR' message will show up because the tray isn't openingand activating the 'tray open' switch, therefore the 'tray closed' switchis permanently activated after the 'open/close button is pressed.

I had this happen to me as ell. you've probably got a cd stuck under the revolving tray. I took the top cover off and then opened the drawer and removed the offending disk. If you're not technically minded it's probably better to take it in to a repair shop.

Noisy changer mechanism
If the moise sounds like a stretched spring, it is most probably tracking noises you are hearing. Try cleaning the focal lens. It may have have a layer of laser dustus interuptus on it making the servo drives work hard. Do this with a cotton tip moistened with Windex, then a light gentle polish afterward with a dry one to be sure that no residue of smearing is left. If the problem persists, then more involved work will need to be done to the unit. Maybe realignment of tracking and focus servos(they are producing the noise)and or a replacement laser fitted and and then subsequent realignment. Sometimes you can back off the servos to allow for quieter operation. Experience here is the best teacher. Good luck, hope this snippet of info helps you. If it doesn't, happy to talk further on it, but you may need to sharpen you optic alignment skills ;)

Marantz CD5004 tray keeps opening problem
CD/DVD players use a protocol;
Open tray. Insert disk. Tray switch tells mechacon that the tray is shut. Attempt to focus on disk.
If focus is acheived, then it will spin up and try to read the disk otherwise it will ask for a readable disk.
If the tray keeps opening, I would suspect the tray detect switch is malfunctioning, maybe the drive belt has stretched.
HI, would you know what error code CY920 on my Marantz NR1607 means ?
The Marantz NR1607 is an AV Receiver, and the CY920 error code is not a recognized error code for this product. It's possible that this is a custom or specific error code for your device, and I would recommend contacting Marantz support or the manufacturer for more information. They may be able to provide you with a solution or more information on what the error code specifically means and how to resolve it.
The poweramp of my Marantz SR6004 AV Surrount Receiver only turns on after about 3 minutes.

Marantz DV 9500 DOES NOT PLAY ANY of normal CDs. Reads ONLY Super Audio CDs. What could be the cause for this fault?
- Hardware issue: The CD player may have a hardware issue, such as a damaged laser or faulty electronics, that is preventing it from reading normal CDs.
- Firmware issue: The CD player's firmware, which is the software that controls the device, may be outdated or corrupt, causing it to only read Super Audio CDs.
- Compatibility issue: The CD player may not be compatible with normal CDs, and is only able to read Super Audio CDs due to their specialized format.
In terms of adjusting the laser pick-up, it is generally not recommended to try to adjust the laser pick-up yourself, as it can be a delicate process that requires specialized equipment and knowledge. If you believe the issue may be related to the laser pick-up or other hardware, it may be necessary to seek the assistance of a qualified technician or the manufacturer.
If the CD player is unable to read the content of a normal CD and is returning to 00:00 tracks on the display, it is possible that the issue may be related to the laser pick-up or other hardware. It is also possible that the issue may be related to internal ICs or other electronics, in which case it may be necessary to diagnose the issue further to determine the cause and find a solution.
