SkyScan 86709 Atomic Wall Clock Questions & Answers
88900 Atomic Clock does not read time and temperature.
Batteries must come out of both the temperature sensor (transmitter) and base (clock and temperature display). Leave out for about 4 minutes. Replace the batteries in the temperature sensor FIRST and set it about 5 - 10 feet away from the base. Replace the batteries in the base and leave them both set without touching any buttons for at least 15 minutes (usually only takes 5 minutes or so). The temperature should start to display. You can set the clock manually to the correct time and have it get the updates via radio in the evening or night. Should work after all this just fine. (have done it alot of times this way over the years)
Good luck.
Sio/Scan Temperature Transmitter 433MHz for batteries
I just changed the batteries yesterday. It was hard to open the battery compartment with bare hands/finders. I used flat screw driver to poke into the notch in the center of the transmitter. Or you can try poke into any **** around the compartment. It works!
The outside temp sender won't work. We put new
Simple, the instructions state that when changing the batteries on the outside temp. sensor, you must also change the batteries on the main clock unit. I had same problem when I changed the sensor batteries until I pulled the batteries from the clock and it reset fine. ( Sensor batteries first, then clock batteries. ) The clock will reset to atomic time overnight so don't worry if it doesn't read correctly at first.
Need instructions on 'programming' my Sharp SPC900
I don't know about your atomic sync problem. But here is how you can set the time zone:
Push the Time button once. This will change the Month/Day window to
Alarm 1. Push the up button until the desired time zone is reached. Push
the Time button twice more to return back to Month/Day display.
The atomic clock did not reset to daylight savings time. How di I reset it?
Depending on which country you are in (the UK won't reset for a couple of weeks yet), your clock will automatically reset when it receives the adjusted time signal. If your clock is not receiving the signal, try moving it near a window and away from any electrical interference, or it is possible that your battery is getting low and has not got enough power to receive the signal.
