Sounds like a failed T-Con board, but hard to say without seeing the set.

Try to locate the makers internet site or Google the model number with "manual" to try to locate it yourself.

Reset the TV. Refer to its user manual for details. If this do not help you, the turner might be defectve.

I called customer support and they said it is the receiver. I can't find one and they want $190 to fix this 1 1/2 year old TV. Mine is not digital so I can't receive broadcast in a year so mine is going out in the trash.

No they want sell parts. You can cut your losses or give them them more money. Good luck.

Sounds as if you have a bad tuner. Can be tricky to replace if it is on a 2 sided board. If you are not comfortable with a soldering iron or electronics, I would have a certified servicer look at it.

Look at the power connector on back of set. You will probably see 3 recessed prong's. You should be able to use the same type of cord as on a computer or monitor. You can get one at
any home center or electronics store like Walmart, BestBuy, hardware stores, etc.

This is a protection circuit that prevents the tv from coming on (to stop damage of the components) ....you need to check your voltages off the power supply and make sure they all read well (EX: 24v12v5v etc). Also look for popped capacitors that would make the values lower than need be for the tv to power on properly. The capacitors are blow and once replaced this will fix your issue.

I can't answer this question. But I want the opportunity tell everyone...THIS TV SUCKS. THE SOUND IS TERRIBLE, YOU CAN''T HOOK UP HEADPHONES. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS TV!!!!!

I am having the same problem. If I play with the power button on the back it will come on sometimes. I was looking for a solution here but looks like I will have to take it apart and check for loose solder joints.
