After so much paper goes thru the rollers they pick up dust and dont stick. Some models you can unplug and then use a q tip soaked in alcohol to clean the roller. Others require you to take them apart to clean. If you have to take it in to get fixed then check out the new ones from a computer store. Sometimes its cheaper to get a new printer than go get yours repaired or cleaned. If you do decide to have it done look really close when they get done and ensure the rollers were cleaned with alcohol. Otherwise they mihgt still have a oil coating on then and that causes them to slip also, especially on photo paper. They will argue in some places that the alcohol will dry out the rubber and it will age and crack. Altho this is true I have yet to see a dry, aged or cracked pickup roller, even 15 years in the business. I think thats because it takes longer to age and crack a rubber roller than it does to just wear out the machine. Jonathon

1. Remove your new cartridge and replace it with the old one. Leave your printer and go and do something else for 10 minutes.
2. Replace the old cartridge with the new one again. These two steps alone often resolve the issue, so see if your printer now recognises your new cartridges. However, if you're still having trouble...
3. Remove the new cartridge. Make sure you place it in a clean and safe place where the cartridge or the surface won't be damaged.
4. Turn the printer off using its power button
5. Unplug your printer at the wall. It's important to do both steps 4 and 5 separately, as some printers can remain in sleep mode if you've only switched off the power button on the printer control panel. Leave your printer like this for about 10 minutes or so.
6. Plug your printer back in at the wall (but don't press the power button just yet)
7. Insert your new cartridge
8. Press the power button on your printer

You are most likely getting this message because of a paper size mis-match. For example, you are sending a print job as letter size but your printer is set to or has a4 size installed. When the printer sees that the print job is not a matched size to the paper in the tray, it will look to the manual feed tray for paper to print on, hopefully the correct size. Make sure your paper setting in printer properties on your computer match the paper in the printer and the print job "page setup" is also the same size/

The communication between the computer and the printer have disconnected. Do a reset of the printer. Rest the parameters, like the IP Address, Pass Codes, etc. Check you DEVICES (Printers) to see if it is sending a Wi-Fi signal?

What are the steps to remove the fuser? I have not been able to figure it out. Unless you disassemble the entire unit. Thanks

1. Prepare a new cartridge of the color (K, C, M or Y) you wish to replace.
   
2. Ensure that the printer is on with all covers closed, and that the Toner Low warning, Sleep, or Ready status is displayed.
3. Press the Right arrow button to display the menu.
   
4. Press the Up or Down arrow button to scroll through the options until Reset Menu is highlighted:
   
   
5. Press the Right arrow button once, this will enter the reset menu as shown below:
   
   
   
6. Press the Up or Down arrow button to scroll through the options until Change Toner X (where X is K, C, M or Y) is highlighted for the toner you wish to change:
   
   
7. Press the Right arrow button to start the removal procedure. The printers panel will read Please wait, then after a short delay the printer should display a red error light and the message Replace Toner X, where X is the relevant toner cartridge:
   
   
   
8. Open cover D.
   
   
9. Hold the toner cartridge knob and tilt it toward you.
   
   
10. Remove the empty toner cartridge from the printer.
    
    
11. Take the protective materials off of the new cartridge, and gently shake the new toner cartridge a few times.
    
    
12. Take the new toner cartridge out of its package, and remove the plastic protective cover from the toner cartridge.
    
    
13. Insert the new cartridge into the printer.
    
    
14. Close the toner cartridge cover.
    
    
15. Close cover D.
    
16. If you need to change another toner cartridge, repeat the above procedure from Step 1.

Dear You can try to upload the higher version firmware, some times it may revive the main PBA. The alternate is to replace the main PBA. But if some professionals are doing chip level repair and programming then you may take their help to restore the main pba. Thanks.

Dear Its related to the fuser assy. Pl. check the fuser thermostat and heating lamp. for if its open replace it, check the thermistor resistance if it open replace it, Check SMPS. Thanks.

Dear The toner cart. has lapsed its life. As there is a chip inside cart. which keeps record of the page count and toner percent used. when predefined percent consumed it indicates. The replacement with new cart or replacement of the chip and toner powder resolve your problem. Thanks.

it sounds to me that your paper size is not correct so it is tring to pick from the bypass. put paper in the bypass until that job is over or delete that print job. make sure your paper cassette is set to the right paper size. most of the time this problem comes up when rinting pdf files or from the internet.
