replace your drive coupler
tip unit back
you will see the pump
attached is the motor
behind the motor is your coupler
part number 285753a
take the pump off by 2 clips
take the motor off with 2 clips and 2 screws or just the clips
let me know if you need more instructions

Reset level selector by turning to low and back up to desired Try hot and try cold. See if either one will fill/partial fill. Try rinse Try spin only. No rinse no spin Check timer electrical If spin but no water hot/cold look for defective level sensor.

This model of washer does not have an out of balance cut off switch. If the load is not balanced properly the tub could hit the cabinet sides. If the unit spins evenly while empty & out of balance while loaded, I recommend checking & balancing the load. If the basket spins out of balance while empty, I recommend having the suspension springs & balance ring checked. Be sure not to wash light fabric with heavy fabric clothes. Also ensure that the adjustable feet are level, that's most important.

That is a normal sound when the transmission shifts from the last spin cycle to go into the agitate cycle. It should make a loud click sound that does not last longer than a second. There is nothing wrong with your washing machine.

Moved a Kenmore Elite and when we put it back in place it vibrates loudly. We tried leveling it and that has not worked. Any ideas?

The dates of manufacture are determined by the SERIAL numbers on the appliance. The following links explain:

Your Kenmore is manufactured by Whirlpool. The first two numbers in the serial number identify the WEEK it was manufactured. The digit preceeding the first set of numbers, identfy the YEAR.

On Maytag models, the last two letters in the serial number determine the date of manufacture. The first letter is the YEAR, the second letter is the MONTH.

The belt that turns it may have come off track or broke,will have to take apart to see.

Check for something caught in the pump or under agitator. Check that the belt underneath is free running. This fault is usually associated with excessive current & the motor going out on the auto reset overload. Could be motor trouble, starting capacitor (If fitted) or the timer.
