Kenmore 44042 Front Load Washer Questions & Answers
I think my drum is out of balance. appears to be
IF (note that's IF) the mis-alignment was significantly less than an inch, perhaps just a tenth of an inch, and this could be "corrected" by lifting the drum ....
... and potentially then move it a further tenth of an inch beyond the aligned point (so that's total play/movement of a fifth of an inch)
AND it HAD NOT developed this fault in just 3 days ....
... then I'd have said that your bearings had failed.
Usually it takes time for the bearings to wear out and become very noisy when spinning (not so bad during washing) and play develop such that you can see it if you try move the drum UP & down by hand.
SO, given the short period of time from being quiet and OK, to being very noisy and REALLY BADLY out of shape I think it's THE SPIDER
The SPIDER is like a VERY FLAT TRIPOD mounted (bolted or riveted) to the back of the drum. At its centre is the SPINDLE that goes through the 2 bearings mounted in the Washer TUB and has the drive pulley attached to the end.
These Spiders can be prone to corrosion and ultimately will fracture such that the Drum is no longer "STRAIGHT" or BALANCED and PERFECTLY IN-LINE with the spindle.
Usually these (BEARINGS and SPIDER) can be replaced (professionally) at a cost that is much less than buying a new washing machine.
It is something that a reasonably competent DIYer could do for themselves. That's all I am and I've done it 4 or 5 times in the last 20 years.

Kenmore 44052 will not spin. Replaced door switch
Have you pulled the pump and checked for obstructions? There may be something in the pump itself; you will need to check that...
If your problem can't solve, keep in mind that the error codes means physical wrongs, so, E43 is a door-locking problem or "board comunication problems".
I hope this helps.
Automatic fabric softener dispensor not emptying
The detergent dispenser is located above the detergent drawer.
A water pipe is connected to it and water entrance and distributed to drawer's cells (following the programmed cycle)by a lever's movement (part of the dispenser). The lever movement is controlled by two solenoids that received their power from the timer.
By opening upper machine's cover you will have an access to the dispenser.
Disconnect the power cable from the machine before moving to next test !!!!
Look first that they are not any disconnected wires.
Move manually dispenser's lever and see if water running to all cells (depend on your movement). In case it doesn't work properly remove the unit from the machine and try to clean it (I hope it will help, otherwise you should replace the unit).
In case it works properly (manually) - you should test by a multi-tester solenoid's resistance. the one that doesn't have a resistance measurement should be replaced.
Good luck !!
The water will not shut off completly it keeps
Hello,
The reason that is happening is because the spring inside of the water inlet valve that is suppose to close it is weak and its not fully closing the valve so water seeps through it into the drum of the washer. To repair that the water inlet valve will need to be replaced.
If ya reply with the model number i will give ya the part number for that valve and instructions of how to replace it.
The model number can be found on a label inside of the door on the rim
