TI-35 Plus

Make sure the battery contacts are clean. I just fixed mine, as it had been sitting for some years and the batteries went bad.

I gently cleaned any "green mold" from the contacts with a light Scotch-Brite pad and some electrical contact spray that I got at a local hardware store.

I tested the batteries with my digital meter to make sure they were 1.5V or more and put everything back together. Works great!

Give it a whirl---this is a nice little calculator. I bought mine in 1990-1991 and it's gotten me through undergraduate and graduate school...

Mean, median, mode

Mean= average =(sum of data values)/(number of data values) Mode is the most frequent data value. Median: Sort the data in ascending order. The element in the middle is the median. If the number of data is odd, there will be one MIDDLE element. It is the median. If the number of data is even, there will be two elements in the middle. Add the values of these middle elements and divide by 2. The result will be the median. It is not part of the data.

How do i put powers on my calculator? Like 10 to the twenty third power...

Look for a key that may be marked as X to power y, or Y to power x or just a caret [^]. However to enter a power of 10 such as in the Avogadro Number 6.02*10^23, scientific calculators have a specific key marked EE (enter exponent?) on TI's or x10^x on Casios. When you use the EE key no 10 should appear: meaning to enter 6.02*10^23 you type in 6.02 followed by [EE] then 23. Press = to display the number. Th e EE key is a shortcut for *10^
