Radical coversion

To obtain non integer results into a fraction form you must insert at the end of the command line the key sequence [MATH][1:>Frac][ENTER].The calculator cannot give you results expressed as radicals; at least not natively. You will have to look for a program that does that. Search the education.ti.com or the ticalc.org sites for such program.

My TI-84 Plus won't let me graph trigonometric functions.

Is it somehow preventing you from graphing, or are you simply not getting the graph you expect? Most likely you have the angular mode set wrong. You probably want it set to radians. Press MODE, move to the third line, highlight RADIAN, press ENTER, then 2ND [QUIT].If it's not the angular mode, please reply to this post and give an example or two.

When turned on, displays error: memory 1. Quit

Memory is insufficient to perform the instruction or function. You must delete items from memory before executing the instruction or function. Recursive problems return this error; for example, graphing the equation Y1=Y1. Branching out of an If/Then, For(, While, or Repeat loop with a Goto also can return this error because the End statement that terminates the loop is never reached.
