You're probably trying to graph a function that does not involve stat plot features. You can correct this by turning off the stat plot features. Press "2ND" "STAT PLOT" and then select 4:PlotsOff.

Milligram is a unit of mass. Milliliter is a unit of volume. Comparing the two is like trying to compare pounds and gallons.

One ml of water will weigh 1000 mg. One ml of gold will weigh nearly 20000 mg.

Gram is a unit of mass (or weight). Teaspoon is a unit of volume. One teaspoon of water will weigh about 4.9 grams. One teaspoon of gold will weigh over 90 grams.

Texas... | Answered on May 10, 2014

There are one thousand milligrams (mg) in one gram. Thus 0.4mg / 1000 = 0.0004g

You can do the others the same way.

To make it easier for you below are the figures for the

Radius= 11.5 inches

Height = 17 inches.

Now use the formula above to calculate it.

For the

Radius = 0.25 inches

Height = 0.5

Use the same formula above for jelly bean as well.

Once you have both figures,

AND VOILA, you have the amount of jelly beans in a jar (Round the figure out)

Cheers!

Press the MODE button, press down-arrow to get to the second line, use left/right arrows to highlight the desired number of digits, press ENTER, then press 2ND QUIT.

Press LOG 3 ENTER.

The LOG key on the keyboard gives you base-10 (common) logs while the LN key gives you base-e (natural) logs. If you want the log to another base you can use the logBASE function found in the catalog.

In order to select additional graphs, the Transformation Graphing Application will need to be uninstalled from the TI-83 Plus Family and TI-84 Plus Family. Uninstalling the Application does not erase it from the calculator, it disables it from interfering with the normal graphing modes. Below are the steps to successfully uninstall the Application.

• Press [APPS] key

• Select Transfrm from the menu

• Press 1:Uninstall

The TI-84 is a bit of a pain this way. You need to access the logBASE function either through the catalog or the MATH menu. You can't spell the function name as with some other calculators.

Press MATH, scroll down to the logBASE entry, then press ENTER. This will put "logBASE(" into the entry line. You can then enter the arguments and press ENTER to calculate the result. For example, to calculate the log base 2 of 8, press MATH, down-arrow a number of times to logBASE, press ENTER 8 , 2 ENTER. This should give you 3.
