Want turn on
TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen when the batteries are changed so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.

Convert inches
One inch is 1/12 feet or 2.54 centimeters. If you want to convert inches to another unit, please specify the unit.

Is the graph of a circle a function?
No. The graph of a circle is a graph, one which can have two different values for certain arguments. The graph of the top or bottom half of a circle can be considered a graph of a function.

My texas instrument 84 won't turn on, how can i fix it?

Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.
If that doesn't do it, please respond to this post and we'll go from there.

Subscript for log
To calculate logarithms to a base other than e or 10, use the logBASE function in the MATH MATH menu. Press the MATH key, then scroll up/down to logBASE.

Ti-84 invalid dim error message
You're probably trying to graph a function that does not involve stat plot features. You can correct this by turning off the stat plot features. Press "2ND" "STAT PLOT" and then select 4:PlotsOff.

My graphing calculator says invalid dim
You're probably trying to graph a function that does not involve stat

The natural log is marked "LN" and is on the key just to the left of the "4" key.

How to calculate alog(x)
Use 10^x (the 2nd function of the LOG key). For example, to calculate the antilog of 2, press 2ND LOG 2 ENTER
