I have a Seiko Melodies
I'm not sure if you still have your clock but I just fixed mine, same issues as yours, if you open the back up and there are two black little boxes, the left box controls the face opening and closing, take the two screws off the opposite corners, the white independent wheel has worn the whole larger, so I glued like a little brass piece yo ouch the stem of the wheel back in the original whole just make sure you don't get glue in stem, the piece you glue should be glued in the opposite side, we used gorilla glue, Just a small dab

To test your Seiko Melodies in Motion Clock:
1) Check the volume knob in the back of the Seiko clock to make sure the volume has not been adjusted all the way down.
2) Make sure the on / off switch is set to on.
3) If it is extremely dark in the room, the clock will not play, it has a light sensor. Make sure the room is well lit.
4) There are separate batteries usually that operate the clock and the music. Change the batteries paying special attention to any acid / corrosion caused by old batteries. Clean out any acid and it should play. Also, be careful not to touch the positive or negative contacts on the new batteries, as this could inhibit proper connection.
If you have done each step above and it is still not operating, your clock is defective. Contact Seiko Service Center directly at: 800-722-4452 extension 3.
If you have had the clock less than a year, and it was purchased from an authorized dealer, it is under warranty, and any repairs will be free. Otherwise, there may be a charge for the repair.
Seiko wall clockNeed battery cover and repairs Model #QXM139SRH
I sent my clock off to Seiko for repair, useless, they said it was in the circuitry. I had them send my clock back. I ordered a new gear box $2.00, replaced that, it will work as long as it's flat. If you look you can see how the clock cycles I made sure it was "locked" in (you can hand force it) then I removed one of the gears so it doesn't cycle down but stays in the up position at all times. Music plays, lights go, just no motion now. Call Seiko for replacement battery cover.
