Delta Faucet 470-DST Signature Diamond Pull-Out Spray Kitchen Faucet - Blac Questions & Answers
I have a delta pull out faucet with the hose stuck inside
In my case the rotating part of the faucet was connected with a hex nut. Removing the hex nut then gave me easier access to the part of the faucet where the hose was stuck. I bent a wire hanger, jammed it in and pushed the hose back out where it was supposed to be.
Delta faucet 470-ss-dst is leaking from the spout.
easy fix, shut-off water at under-counter angle valves and water meter, pop-out the blue and red insert located on the front of the handle of the faucet, turn faucet on to relieve pressure, loosen allen screw under red and blue insert, pull handle up, remove nut under handle, remove plastic insert gasket and stem under the nut, notice two rubber gaskets.... remove them and the springs behind them and replace, when putting the insides of the faucet back in pay close attention to the notches and grooves,,,, the parts only go back one way....
Do I have to remove
Should be able to turn water supply off to faucet and trace the line connecting the pull-out faucet. Remove weight in center on hose line this weight helps retract the faucet head in with the line. Remove it and disconnect the line connection and remove the old one.
Low pressure hot water only
there is likely sediment under the spring and washer on the hot water side of the faucet under the handle. If you shut off the valves to the faucet, it is very easy to dismantle. There is an allen screw on the front of the handle to remove the handle. Under the handle there is a nut. Once you unscrew this nut there is either a ball or a cartridge )depending on the year of the faucet) that can be removed If it is the ball, then you will see two rubber washers in the base. Use your allen wrench or needle nose pliers to remove the washers and remove any sediment.
Need to take the hose assembly out of delta 470 faucet
you need to disconnect from under the faucet and then pull it all the way out just like if you were pulling it out to use the spray. There may be a big weight on the hose to help it back into the spout when placing the head back....you will also have to take that off to pull it through.
How to remove stuck cap for delta single handle faucet
Take a rag and put over nut then tap all-around nut. Then use your hand to try and unscrew. A strap wrench is the best tool for taking these off. I have been to so many of these where the homeowners have used channel locks or pipe wrenches and scarred up nut or broken off copper tubes. They seem amazed when i tap it a few times and remove it with my hands. Channel locks and pipe wrenches actually cause the nut to bind when using this much force. Make sure you loosen the plastic retainer on top of the nut first. For more details about single faucet repair

- Place end of supply line in a small bucket to catch some water.
- Turn on cold water for a couple of seconds and backflush debris from faucet.
- Reconnect supply line.
- Turn on angle stop and test
If you have steel pipes you may be experiencing reduced flow due to corrosion in your pipes. Reduced hot water pressure in the kitchen faucet is usually the first sign since this is the faucet that is most used in the home.
Repiping is a job for a professional. Another symptom you may need a repipe is orange colored or rusty water.
Delta 400-DST Single Handle Kitchen Faucet Spigot Drips
I've installed quite a few of these from the big box stores that leak. There are 2 rubber pieces inside the valve body that act as seats. The seats are what turn the water on and off as you move the handle. These rubbers need to be replaced. You can buy a delta repair kit, which will contain these parts. Where the faucet is new, it might be easier to bring it back
Water will not flow through the bathroom faucet
It probably is a clogged aerator. The small piece, right where the water comes out, unscrews. There is a screen behind it the often collects dirt and minerals. Clean that off and try it again
