Hi
Hit the print button on the left hand side. This will than tell you on the screen what the actual problem is...i.e. (out of paper...lost connection etc. Print Mode Error can indicate even the "simplest" of conditions. For example, the cassette runs out of paper. Have the user press the PRINTER key and OK, the display will show the reason for the "PRINT MODE ERROR" condition.
Also "Print Mode Error" occurs when the machine receives data to print a specified paper size the machine does not contain. Example, if the machine is set to print on 11 x 17 and that drawer is empty, you'll get that message. However, the most common cause of this message is when whatever program you are printing from sends an oddball size to the printer such as A4, Folio, 16K, etc. The next time you get that message, press the Printer button and see what paper size it's asking for. Then make sure the program you are printing from has Letter or Legal or Ledger or whatever size you want to print on is set.

Hi
Yes you are right, trial cartridges are only 1/4th
of the normal cartridges. If you want to check the cartridges you can select REPORT/STATUS
in the main screen, and then press the Select
key. After that is done select SUPPLY STATUS so that the remaining
amount of toner in the toner cartridges and the remaining service life of the
imaging units can be displayed as a percentage. Hope this helps...please post
back for further assistance.
