Try turning off all dials and unpluging the fridge for a short time. Then plug back in and reset all tempature settings.
Water and ice taste bad
How long has it been since you replaced the filter in the waterline, or in the refrigerator section waterline? This filter is to be replaced usually every six months. This filter is usually a canister about the size of a car oil filter and is usually located in the upper right side of the fridge. May be hidden by a plastic shield over the light. Replacing this filter should eliminate your problem. Remember to read the instructions that come with the new filter as to filling it with water before installing or not and the purge time or amount before using it for drinking, to flush any particulate out of the new filter. Usually 60 seconds of running water from door in to a glass and dumping that water...or run water into a glass til it dispenses clear water. Remember to turn off the water to the fridge and have a towel handy when replacing the filter. Some refrigerators have a function where by when you unscrew the old filter it automatically shuts off the water, but I would not trust that to actually work...Ha!

You have a freon leak. With this only being 5 years old, iot's probably worth repairing, unless you are just able to buy a new one. I would have a local tech come out and check it before tossing it. Problems installing new 4389177 part.
You should push water line in valve firmly until you feel it snap into place. You should not be able to pull it out once it's inserted correctly without pressing the little button around water line opening.
