My Krups won't brew

The culprit is probably the thermal fuse. It's under the bottom cover, and you have to have Torx security bits (the ones with the holes in the middle) to remove the three screws holding it in place. Sadly, the thermal fuse is not resettable. Once it's tripped, it's dead. If you have this problem, forget about getting Krups or their lame service agent, smallappliance.com, to repair it. Both contacts I had with Krups were unsatisfactory. The factory/customer service folks say that there are no parts available and to buy a new coffee pot. Great solution. You can damn well believe it won't be a Krups. Or is it ****? An otherwise perfectly functioning unit gets sent to the landfill because the folks at Krups can't be troubled to find the part number. Idiots. For your info, there are thermal interrupters made by several manufacturers. The trip temperature on the breaker is 318 degrees, C. Something in the neighborhood of 200 degrees C would probably work, but would have to be soldered in. If you are comfortable with doing that, it's a solution.

I need to replace my Krups 453 Thermo fuse (ms-0061607). Where can I find one or is there a replacement?

Many times the Thermal (not Thermo) fuse is soldered in line with silver solder and unless you have the ability to cut the old one out and replace it, the cost would be greater than a replacement coffee maker.

Coffe does not stay hot in carafe

The wavy lines indicate the carafe pre-heat function. When it is ON the red light blinks for several minutes and the goes on solid. It doesn't start brewing until the light is solid red.
Mine also doesn't seem to keep hot also.

Half a pot short of a good morning

Sounds like the thermal fuse (search this database under "fuse" and you'll find a discussion of it). I have yet to find the proper TORX security wrench, so I haven't been able to get to mine in order to try the things mentioned there, but I have a similar problem and what is said there makes sense.

Flashing red light

Just found the answer!

The type 453 coffee maker offers a carafe ‘pre-warm’ function.
This feature will heat the carafe for 5-10 minutes before the brewing process begins and is indicated by a flashing red light.
To toggle this feature, push the top-right button in the control panel until the display reads "off".

Krups EA 80 milk frother not working properly.

Question edited for typos and spelling. It is a 'frother' rather than a 'throther'.The roaring is normal, you are releasing steam from a boiler. Steam wand issues are usually caused by cooked milk solids inside the wand. You need a good enzyme cleaner like Rinza.
