The Rival product site has not retained the instruction manual for this model which is a 4 quart model. Nor have I located the manual elsewhere. However, I have located a generic slow cooker manual for 4 to 7 quart models. And, if you google the model number rival and images, you see a picture of the model. The print is terribly small in the images but I have discerned that to the far left is the OFF, each of the three other marks represents an increase in temperature, low, medium, high. If the dial does not "click" you can at least approximate where to turn it from the image. The user feedback reviews would seem to suggest not leaving it on high for prolonged periods and to be careful with the lid least you break it. Go to Home Depot and be sure to tell them what it is for. They have heat resistant gasket that you can measure and attach.

I have a base with no liner for this very crock (broke liner last week). You can have the base!! I will ship it. You interested?

You should call Jardin, the parent company of Rival. Their customer service number is 01753 251 858.

Believe or not, go to your local Goodwill Store! They have tons of crocks and the lids and the cookers separate frm each other that have been donated becase one of the pieces was broken and they donated the rest of the pieces. Lids and crocks typically range from $1.99 to $5.99 and you benefit your community at the same time.

Replacement parts can be purchased through crock-pot.com; the page for your model is here. Unfortunately, they show the lid as out of stock. You can check the page occasionally to see when it's available again, or try the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page. Maybe someone at the company can give you an idea when they will have the lid, or suggest another part that might fit.

same, it was given to me as a gift from my aunt a very long time ago, just last night the liner broke. Where can i go to find a replacement liner?

It sounds as if the temp was to high for a shorter period of time. Try cooking longer at a lower temperatur.

As much as I hate to say it, these things are built so cheaply that they are meant to be "throw-away" when something goes wrong with them. I checked the Rival website, and they don't show anything as a replacment item for these crock pots.
It so happens I have the same issue with a rice cooker. Wife dropped the lid shortly after we received the cooker as a gift. We use a plate to cover it now.

I'm sure there is if you called the manufacturer.
Look them up on the computer, they sjould have a customer service you can order from. good luck, ned
