Rheem natural gas water heater

Well you might have a pinhole leak than periodically puts out pilot light. Or you might have a bad thermocouple. Thermocouple is inexpensive and easy replacement.

Water heater with electonic igniter will not work in power outage

What type of heater is this? I need to know the model name and make and then we can go threw the process of how to do it. Most gas heaters do not have power to them and I only know of a few tankless heaters that do.

I have a Rheem PG50T9A hot water heater that is leaking. It seems to be spraying water from the vent tube in the heater. I shut the gas and water off and am now dealing with the damage done to my ki

Tank rusted out because anode rod depleted because water heater was not maintained according to product manual, and industry standard and water heater was not inspected each 6 months by homeowner.http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-maintain-water-heater.htmlRheem makes GE heaters.Look at label for serial number. 3rd and 4th digit are year of manufacture.Since this model is no longer manufactured, I suspect that 6-year warranty is expired. New installation I tightened relief valve and it sits right over wiring connections. If I turn it back it feels loose but no leak so far?

The relief valve is supposed to have a 3/4 line leading away and down to 9" from the floor . That said if it is loose, tighten it slightly and then run piping away from the controls.

I have a rheem 41v50 water heater its leaking out

If the water heater itself is leaking it most likely cannot be repaired. If it's leaking at the presure/temp relief valve it could possibly be dangerous and needs immediate attention. If it's the pipes leading to the water heater then it's most likely worth repairing. If the tank is old and rusty it's best to replace it. If it's fairly new it might still be under a manufactures warantee. The last I knew Rheem had warantees up to 11 years, depending on the model water heater. With out actually looking at the water heater it's almost impossible to give a more definite answer, I hope this helped.

Hi, i have a water heater (Rheem XG50T...) w/ a wifi module. Today, the temp / pressure relief valve drained a little bit and now my water heater does not work as the error A102 does not get clear eve

Error A102 ? Where does the error code show on your model? The XG50T appears to have honeywell gas control valve that flashes error code with series of blinks, and not LCD readout. http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-troubleshoot-gas-water-heater.html#intellivent If the release of water got electronics wet, then the electronic parts likely will not function. Release of water from TP valve means temperature of water inside tank exceeded the temperature-pressure rating of TP valve. This is a safety feature. Water from TP can indicate thermostat failure, or other less serious issues. http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-replace-TP-valve.html Your water heater appears to have 9 year warranty. Serial number located on label on side of tank will have numbers- 1st and 2nd digits are week of manufacture, 3rd and 4th digits are year of manufacture, Call Rheem since they do not post service manuals. Other companies post service manuals and are much easier for DIYers. I just had my furnace cleaned it is a gas rheem. The service guy said it was overheated because of a#3 tube he said the furnace heat exchange is black. What can be do regarding this

I presume you're talking about a gas furnace, even tho the title says Rheem gas water heater. Either way, it works the same for both. Any black coloring on the heat exchanger is *not* from overheating. Black is from a sooty flame caused by a mis-adjusted burner. (In fact, a sooty flame is less hot). There is an adjustable "air intake plate" for air to enter the burner where the gas enters the burner. A proper flame is made by adjusting this air opening so the proper gas/air mixture feeds into the burner. If the air vent is closed too much it produces a sooty flame. The age of the furnace is the most important aspect, and that helpful to determine a likely condition of the heat exchanger and burners. Other than a badly adjusted flame, the main thing to watch for is a badly rusted out heat exchanger. But black does not mean rust.
