1st don't wear a new shirt when doing this !!!! waste toner tanks are not meant to be reused (not saying you couldn't ) but its gonna make a mess doing it so id choose not to do iinside the office that's for sure , replacement tanks are available from same sources you buy toner cartridges from then just tape up the spout and toss old one away , some machines will require a manual reset of toner tank alarm , consult your manual to see how you do it and if your dead set on cleaning it , what id do is buy one new one install it and take old one outside in a field miles from nowhere using 91% isopropanol alcohol and a hand full of old rags (disposable gloves too) id wipe it clean ,then store it under machine in paper storage box (not tray) so its there ready to use next time you need it
