Knowing where to find it, knowing your type of battery, watching it so it doesn't drain fully, and charging and maintaining it. Of course, the RV battery works in tandem with the converter, which can transfer various signals and voltages, such as DC to AC and back again For more check https://www.gregorytg.co.uk/crawley.html

The charging system wires are usually the heaviest wires coming off the fuses circuit board... most other wires with 14 gauge wire are the branch circuits... lights... fridge... furnace. etc.

Look for anything larger then 8 gauge...

Manufacturers do not have diagrams of the electrical systems. Even two different coaches built the same day may be wired differently as there is not true standard of where and how the wires should be ran. I was a service manager for two different RV dealerships and now own my own mobile RV repair. This is one of the most common questions and also one of the most frustrating issues among technicians. However, the system is really basic and to troubleshoot an issue just takes basic understanding of how RV circuits are designed and some patience. The converter will be either a deck mount (stand alone) or it will be mounted in the bottom of the breaker box. Also mounted on the breaker box will be a fuse panel. The converter will be hard wired to a breaker or plugged into an outlet to draw 120vac. The converter will then have two heavy gauge wires (one white - neutral, and one red - positive) that will be connected to the fuse panel and supply 12vdc to the coach. From the fuse panel there will be at least one heavy gauge wire (red) going to the battery to maintain the battery charge. From the fuse panel the wires to the lights, LP leak detector, refrigerator, water heater, furnace/ac will be ran. From that point you have to locate any switches that may be in the circuit.

Should have the basic schematic in your owner's manual. If not, contact the mfg and see if you can download one or have it mailed.

No luck? Google it. If persistent enough, you can find one.

My 2016 Holiday Rambler Vacationer 35DK wiring diagram indicates that the connection for a user installed satellite antenna is near the front air conditioner vent. How do I go about accessing this?

I have a question for you in order to be able to better help. Is there what appears to be a plumbing vent cap in that area? If so that is most certainly where your satellite prep cables are located. If not can I get a picture of the roof?

Can I hook up my 2006 holiday rambler Neptune to 220 volts without changing factory settings

If it is wired for 220, maybe, but if not it may blow your converter/charger. Most RVs aren't set up for 220 straight into the system.

What size trailer tires does a 1988 Holiday Rambler have on it?

Your Holiday Rambler most likely has an LT35/85-16, which is the most common for campers, 5th wheels and toy haulers. However, what you need to look for is the info plate on the unit, showing the VIN, tire size and pressure for each tire and the GVRW for your unit. Look for the Load Range. Depending on the axles and weight, you most likely have Load Range E. If you are looking for replacement tires, you may want to consider an ST235/85-16E. The ST has a hard composition rubber so the life and mileage is much longer, besides usually being less expensive.

Just to give you an example from my personal trailer, the Goodyear LT235/85-16 Load Range G average cost is @ $340.00/ tire but the replacement ST235/85-16 Load Range G cost$185.00 each. Great warranty, longer life and much cheaper. I am a Full Time RV'er traveling all over the country so mind gets a lot of mileage. It's worth the switch.
