My 2003 zx12r starts and runs fine as soon as you pull the clutch and put the bike in gear it stalls.then the bike starts fine and runs till you try to put the bike in gear please help

with the engine off put it in gear pull in the clutch if you can't move the bike the clutch is dragging and needs adjusting

i would check the fuel supply, valve, fiter and carb bowls. if when it runs it runs fine, this is the most likly problem

Most of the safety systems use a diode pack in the loom to stop clutch and side stand switch etc from back feeding each other. Maybe this has failed. If not could it be in the loom, a broken or shorted wire. Look for a tight bend in the route the loom runs and external damage to the tape.

It may be the kickstand switch is broken. Test to see does the switch work.

The bike has a sidestand interlock that prevents you from riding away with the kickstand down. That interlock is not functioning properly. Could have been bent or moved, unplugged, or perhaps the relay has failed. If physically activating the switch does not work, and connecting the wires with a jumper does not work start looking at the turn signal relay, some bikes have that circuit integrated into the relay.

the clutch disks are stuck together

You probably know this but... when you put it into gear you don't have your kickstand down do you. There is an automatic shutoff on the kickstand.

Initially, if the bike will be run without its own battery, the engine will really stall. This is because there will be no consumer for the voltage output other than the ignition system which will clamp down when the engine is revved and the voltage tends to go higher still.
