I cannot give the exact location but you should look for plug that has three white wires, one black and one red wire running from the stator coil, which runs off the crank, and the battery, which the red wire runs to. With that in mind since there is not a lot of room on that style of bike, I would look under the seat area.

Yes - it's a regulator/rectifier. It's behind the lower right cover, which is directly below the battery cover. Will need to remove the pipes to get to it. Some will drill 2-3 holes into the front of that cover to allow more air to flow over it and keep it cool.... Bob
