The factory recommended air pressure is too low, and will lead to premature tire wear. You need to run 36 psi front, and 38 rear.

I have a 2002 intruder lc 1500 with 7000 mi. the tires look and feel fine. realistically how long are these tires safe?
As long as the side walls are not cracked, the tire treads are not cupped, and the tires are rolling normally you should be able to use the tires safely until you wear them down to the manufacturers wear marks molded between the treads.

How much oil goes in a 1998 VL 1500? Never done
Drain your oil. Get several quarts of oil that Suzuki recommends for your VL 1500. Fill it until your dip stick indicates the proper level.

Dont get cheap on this ... motorcycles take q beating and need high quality lubricants.
