My kawasaki ninja 250r will not start. Battery is charged, it has plenty of fuel. I've only had three weeks brand new bike. Occasionally it'll run for a couple of seconds and shut off. I I turn on throttle it shuts off even faster.

It sounds like the float needle valves are lletting gas run into the bowl,in turn running gas into the motor, and fouling the spark plugs. Have you noticed if the oil level seems to be going UP,or the fuel level is going down? Kawasaki motorcycles are prone to leaking needle valves in the carbs for some reason. And the longer it sits, the worse its going to get.Try this,...pull the spark plugs and see if they are wet with fuel. Then, unhook the coils, and spin the motor over with the plugs out.If it shoots raw fuel about a foot out of each or ANY cylinder, then that is your problem. JUST BE SURE TO DISABLE THE COILS BEFORE SPINNING MOTOR OVER,AND DONT BE CLOSE TO THE PLUG HOLES WHEN YOU SPIN IT OVER!! Good Luck!
Sounds like your hearimg the solinoid clicking, basically it makes the connection from the start button to the starter. It's often mounted right next to the battery as well. Now if your sure the battery is good and fully charged fallow the positive cable from the battery to solinoid, from solinoid to starter motor, and check each connection is tight and clean from corrosion. Also fallow the ground from the battery to the frame check for the same. If all look up to par, jump start the bike from a battery charger or vehicle with cables. If it starts, recheck the battery voltage.
I would try charging the battery. Take it off and put it on a slow trickle charge overnight. Batteries usually only last 3-4 years if it is an acid battery.
These bikes have a module that will not alow the starter to engage if the battery voltage is to low. You need to hook up a battery charger and ck the battery voltage. If battery voltage is below 12.oo vdc it may not start. Ck your voltage, ck your fuel, be sure you have fresh fuel before you start it or you will run down the battery again.
if there is no free play when pulling the lever in, the bike will most likely take off from first gear, but when you throttle it, the clutch will most likely slip. if the lever is to loose, lots of free play, you may have a hard time getting it in gear. approx 1/4 inch free play with the lever and it will work normal... unless its ready for a new clutch. hope this helps...
