IF the charger is sealed you won't be able to fix it... just buy a new one...
If you do get in it.. finding the correct parts will be your problem..

The battery charger for my Leitner Electric bike is not powering up ?

A charger has no moving or replaceable parts, so unless the cord to or from the charger is broken and can be fixed you will need to replace it.

Electric fine bike wont start

Many motorcycles that are newer have a built in safety device that keeps the bike from starting when the battery is too low to keep from burning out components from running low on voltage. Can you hook a battery charger to it and have it start or is it just turning over and not starting? Without any details about your problem it is hard to troubleshoot. Has the bike been ridden recently, has it been setting so the carb is gummed up, is it fuel injected, does it have an electric fuel pump?

Ex 5oo is killng batterys?

on my bike it is said to be the rectifier, no fixing it just toss and get a new rectifier. its not converting/reducing AC voltage as it should, so higher than spec surplus elec current gets dumped back into the battery, cooking it, also first check your battery ground it may be the problem

Engine starts and runs great for 20 to 30 minutes or riding, then starts to lug at low rpm, and acts like its getting hot. If you let it cool, it runs great again. It does not have the optional elec fan,...

what kind of bike are we working on?? the avg temp for the elec fan to turn onis around the 220 mark. the best thing to do here is bench test the bike start it up and let it idle, put a fan that moves air in front of the bike, this will help to keep things cool while the bike heats up i know it kinda back-@ssward but do it. a inferred temp gun will help you get the temp, you can pick one up at your local auto parts store. check the temp near the senser for the fan and the radiator itself. keeping a GOOD oil, clean oil in your bike that will help with the cooling as well. If your running a bike with a fuel filter ( If your not GET ONE ) make sure its clean. Bikes with fuel pump, you a two types in tank and external, your in tanks pumps should have a filter on them in the tank, over time they get clogged like a inline filter and can cause poor running as well.
If everything is working as it should you'll need to look into your coils. Heat causes resistance, resistance causes heat and heat causes wires to break down and contact points to to weaken. Coils take alot of abuse when it comes to electricity, it doesn't always happen but it does. coils go out and tire wear odd sometimes.
I hope this helps you out if you need any more help please feel free to contact me

Battery charger on green light when battery flat ,it should be on red also when charger plugged into bike, bike works ok when you take charger out bike stops working

If your bike works when you have the charger connected but doesn't whith the charger disconnected and just the battery then your battery is not charged or you have a bad connection between the battery and ebike.
If the battery charger is showing green then it normally means that charging has stopped charging and there is no current flow to battery. This could be because the battery is fully charged, OR there is an open circuit (broken wire, etc.) between the charger and battery, OR your battery is so flat the voltage is below the low voltage cut-off point of the charger so the charger is not switching on.
You need to check the voltage out of your battery and compare it to the LVC of your charger (should be specified in the user manual), but from what you have described I'd say you need to replace your battery.

I have a GIANT LA FREE SPORT ELECTRIC BIKE. THE BRAKE CABLES HAVE BEEN PULLED OUT AND THE MOTOR WONT TURN ON. THE BATTERY IS CHARGED AND THE LIGHTS GO ON. WHERE CAN I GET BRAKE CABLES OR BRAKE SWITCHES? DO...

The brake handles have each have a switch button that must be pressed for the motor to work. (Actually what happens is that when you pull the break lever it unpresses the button so the motor won't work against the brakes). Just tape the switch down for the time being. Electric Bikes Northwest and David Hawkins might be able to help you with bike parts. I've gotten some parts from him for my La Free Sport. Very few bike shops know anything about these bikes. Good Luck! Dennis
