You need to actually check the battery voltage to see if it is going this high. If it is not, the clock/dash unit is faulty and will need replacement. These units will shut down the engine when under or over volts is detected. If the battery voltage is going high, then you have a charging fault. The voltage regulator will probably be faulty.
