You need to actually check the battery voltage to see if it is going this high. If it is not, the clock/dash unit is faulty and will need replacement. These units will shut down the engine when under or over volts is detected. If the battery voltage is going high, then you have a charging fault. The voltage regulator will probably be faulty.

I have a 2005 xj 160 hd 15.5 hp castlegarden ride on.The full bag alert has stopped working, I have changed the sensor but still no go.What else could be wrong

call factory service and ask. phone number on sticker on machine and in owners manual. I assume that you have some kind of ride on lawnmower. also, no one ever thinks of reading the owners manual troubleshooting guide. of course before you can read it,first you have to find the owner's manual. You can download a pdf owners manual from the manufacturers website.

Mower wont start

First off a fully charged 12 volt battery should read above 13.6 volts DC, and easiest way to test if the battery or starter are bad is to jump the positive post on the battery directly to the starter side large post of the starter solonoid, if the battery and starter are good the engine will turn over if all it does is arch then the battery or starter are bad use jumpers from a good battery to the starter solonoid of the tractor and see if the starter turns the engine over if so then battery is bad if not the starter is bad. Hope this Helps Don
