I have an 08 Yamaha Stratoliner XV1900 and the passing lamps do not work. There is no power to the connector in the headlight shell. Is there another fuse ahead of this connector and where is it locat

Not likely another fuse but could be a relay. The legend is usually printed under the fuse cover. Any relay with the same pins that will fit the location can be used to test. Many of the relays in the fuse compartment operate different circuits, but are exactly the same. Remove the relay look at the schematic printed on it if its the same plug it in and test, since you know the relay you are using came from a working circuit. Its an easy way to determine if the relay is the problem. Hers a tip for you, When you go to the wreckers for parts take the fuses, relays, plug wire terminals etc from the cars. They come in handy!
