SOURCE: wont start, was runing two days ago, have fresh gas, checked plug
Your carberator should be taken apart and cleaned with carb cleaner or solvent for at least an hour. Also check that your fuel hose isn't kinked. If your plug is not wet, then that means it isn't getting any gas to cylinder.

First you'll need to get a jet kit from West coast star. Then you'll need to jet the carbs to run equally. This may take some trial and error. Another thing that worked on my bike was the upgraded coil kit they sell. It's almost double the voltage of the stock coils and comes with better insulated wires for a more uniform resistance. I haven't had this problem since. It'll make the cylinders fire evenly and save you from those pestiferous fouled plugs. I hope this helps.

Hello,
Remove both sparkplugs from engine. Plug them back in the sparkplug cables and let them rest on the engine.
Make sure your battery is well charged.
Check for sparks while kick-starting...
Interchange the sparkplugs in the cables:
-Same plug give sparks: replace the spark plugs.
-Same side of engine sparks: interchange the low-voltage connector at the ignition coils.
Give it a try:
Same engine side sparks: Replace the defective ignition coil.
Other side of the engine sparks: Check the circuit harness for loose connectors, and/or Clean-replace the breaker points ( left side of the engine carter ).

oh boy, Ill tell you from experience that same thing happnened to me with my RZ500, its a great bike, but zomg this really drove me up a wall when this happened then it started spewing oil out the bottom pipes...
let me guess... sometimes the bottom 2 work, sometimes not right?
Your definately not the only person that this happened to
I would agree with Mike above.... probably head gasket (maybe a set of rings) :( I bet it starts from cold in that condition.
Great bike though, I miss mine, I dont however miss working on it, If I remember correctly, the engine is a frame member and a major one, so you have to support the whole bike to take the engine out. Where I normally would suggest doing this yourself, in this case I would not.
