The cleaner he mentioned may be worth a shot or some people get lucky with sea foam but most likely the carbs will need to be taken apart and cleaned. One other thing to check before that step is to make sure you dont have any air leaks around the intake boots and manifold.

From the rear of machine look at the top left of fuel tank for the fuel line.Where line comes out of tank see if it is pinched where it goes down between frame and tank, grab line and see if it moves freely. If that is OK loosen fuel cap after 10 minutes of run time to see if your vent hole in cap is working. These are 2 common problems for the L series mowers.

SOURCE: I have a craftsman LT1000 with a B S 20 hp twin

Carb is running a tad rich and the fuel collects in the muffler. My 20 twin has done it since I bought the thing and that was almost 8 years ago.
Cut the engine idle down before you cut the key off and minimize the bang.
Someone else may give a better explanation of the why but it is just annoying and personally after rebuilding the carb and checking the fuel pump on mine it still does it on occasion. Hasn't hurt a thing on in all these years and I actually thing it blows the soot out of the muffler when it does.

When my Honda, became cold nature more choke then usual and a dead miss then warmed up and was backfiring ?

did you foul the plugs , this is something that happens all the time when you have a hand choke on something , when it gets cold out you are going to need more choke, the best thing to do when it is cold is to warm it up do not just take off because you always leave the choke on and foul the plugs, warm it up leave it alone , do not fix something that is not broke

Bike leaves me stranded after 15 mins

Check your ignition coils. Sometimes they fail with an open circuit, this can sometimes close up when the machine is cold and open again when it heats up. So. it will start when cold and fail when it warms up.

Bike wont kick start or idle , it will coast

first drain the carby, then set your air mixture screw 2 turns out, from the fully turned in position. The starting proceedure is as follows, when the engine is COLD, turn on fuel, pull on the choke fully, and kick the engine over. DO NOT use any throttle, when the engine is cold, and the choke is on. Remember Choke on, NO throttle.
When warm, no choke, and a little throttle when kicking.

Hello I have a 1996 Suzuki DR-200 and recently put

G'day mate the 1st thing i would go for is float level then compresion if it does have the **** it wont take the fuel in , rules are if it has **** ( induction ) Squeeze (compression) Bang ( spark) and Blow (free exhaust) then it should go, if it was running to lean there is good chance it has a burnt exhaust valve which will greatly drop the compression/induction, also check the valve clearence. hope this helps

Have to choke MTD to keep it running

check fuel pump diaphram is not streched or hard, check fuel filter for blockage, or fuel tank cap might be not venting, if none work drain and clean out carby bowl.

Rough runnig , backfiring when hot, no power

this may seem funny but, are you sure the fuel tank cap vent is working? It sounds like the engine is not getting proper supply of fuel, that's why it kinda runs with choke on
