Yamaha 1976 TT500c - did it come with a tool box and tools from the factory ?

The XT version ( which is registered for road use ) did come with a tool box - but the TT was unregistered for dirt / motocross use. Just want to know if the TT was sold with a tool box and tools same as the XT

Every motorcycle from Yamaha I have owned has a tool kit. It is usually located under the seat or under the battery.

Testimonial: "Thanks Steve. The XT had a tool box mounted almost under the rear LH blinker with a tool bag/pouch full of tools inside . I was told on another site that the TT did not have one ."

Interesting. I never owned a competition bike so this is news to me. I learned something too. I had a Twin Jet 100, an XS650 and a DT250 and they all had tools.

SOURCE: I want to remove the magneto from a Yamaha xt350

Back the screw handle out so the end of the screw is inside the the large collar. Remove the nut and washer holding the flywheel on the crankshaft. Screw the puller collar fully into the flywheel. Now turn the screw handle inward to contact the end of the crankshaft. Tighten the handle down then strike the handle arm with a hammer for extra pressure on the screw. Next, strike the center of the screw with the hammer. Alternate strikes between the center screw and the screw handle. Do that until the flywheel pops free. Some pullers have flats for wrenches instead of a screw arm. The principle for removal is the same.

XT 500, code for white paint on tank

Try the link below, it has a massive bike-alog, with all components and colours. Start with the English version and enter make, then model, if link is not already in the Yamaha section.
Cheers.
