Where does the speed sensor sit on a 1500 intruder?

Question edited for a lot mode clarity, and add maker and model name. It is a VL for 'Volusia', not an LV1500.

The Tip Over Sensor is under the seat. From the Service Manual, the last link

When the motorcycle tips over, the tip-over sensor sends a signal to the ECM. Then, this signal cuts OFF current supplied to the fuel pump, fuel injectors and ignition coils.

Usually all you do is sit the bike back up, then make sure the k-switch is on (run position), then cycle the ignition to off-on-off again....

An electrical part is worn causing ovrheatn. Ignition parts need to b tests..coil. Plugcables ignition module or components on alternator. Get a clymer or haynesmanual

If you let the bike sit and idle for about ten minutes and the cooling fan doesn't come on, it usually means your radiator fluid is low. The sensor to turn on the fan sits at the top of the radiator. That sensor uses resistance, clean the wire connections at the tank, that could help. being wrong a little at the top not such a big deal.being wrong any at the end of the tank not acceptable. If you fill it up on the side stand then read while driving or sitting on the Intruder it may sence the difference as well.

the fuse panel is under the speed sensor cover. it is the chrome cover on right side of bike. the same cover you have to remove to put oil in it. it is the one that does not have the oil sight glass in it. only 2 allen bolts hold it on.
