Disconnect the battery first negative then positive. Tjis is to reduce any chance of shorting tjings and doing more damage to things. After that you should be able to remove to two bolts holding the stater and then remove the wire also. Replace in the same way

yes but its not easy you pretty much have to take all the exturnal parts off carbs, exhuast airbox if u have one but it can be done make sure you have a swivle for your socketsbest place to get a starter is sbt.com short block tech

The best way to do this, is to follow the posotive wire from the side of the battery, this is the thick wire from the battery to the starter solenoide and. Then down to the starter on the engine
