So you hear the flasher working? If you put your finger on the unit when it's flashing you will feel the one that is working. It is possible that the new unit doesn't look exactly like the old one, but if the electrical connection is the same, it should be alright. Some cars have two flashers, one for the turns, and one for the hazard lights. And some cars use a composite flasher that is for both the turns and the hazard lights. Keep looking. It should be up in there, possibly just to the right or just to the left of the steering column. If you still can't find it, check with a Suzuki dealer for the location...Or, go to www.
.autozone.com. and register there for free. You can list your car there, make, model, year, and engine, and you will find some good repair info there, along with component locations. It may tell you where that flasher is.
