I need routing diagrams for both gas & oil lines for a 1990 HD XLH883H Sportster

Contact me directly at [email protected] and I'll send you a drawing for the oil lines. The fuel line simply runs from the petcock to the carb between the cylinders. Nothing special about it's routing.

Does anyone have a diagram for how the oil lines run on a 1970 ironhead sportster with an oil cooler?

You '70 model has the "long" style oil pump on it. It has a inlet and an outlet. Of course, the hose from the bottom of the oil tank goes to the inlet. From the outlet of the pump, route your oil line to the oil cooler. Then from the oil cooler back the top of the oil tank where the cap goes on. The oil filter is inside the tank under the cap. There is also a vent hose that comes from just in front of the front chain sprocket that goes to the small nipple on the oil tank. This is the way most people run the oil lines.

Oil line routing for 1980 xl 1000 with oil filter next to oil tank

I can provide you with a routing map but you'll have to contact me directly. This forum will not allow me to send a file any larger than 150kb and the drawing is larger than that. Send me an e-mail directly at [email protected] and remind me of what you want.

Good Luck
