I have a 97 ford expedition. When I turn the key...nothing...not even a click, is that the solenoid, or is there a starter relay that could be bad.

Do you get anything from the dash (lights, gauges..etc.) when you turn the key or is it completely dead? Check the battery connection and also the starter. Sometimes the battery is on its last leg and will provide enough for lights but won't turn it over.

Hi Chris, Check the battery and terminals. Try a jump start and if that works replace the battery. Regards John

06 pontiac grand prix wont start no clicking when you turn the key over even jump starting the battery, has dash lights & radio & parking lights. battery tested good. put a used starter & altinator on

Used parts such as starters and altinators don't last. It might **** but it sounds like you need to buy a new starter, altinator, and battery. Or just start with buying one at a time.

1996 grand am wont start

the battery is dead, it's as simple as that. the battery only needs a tiny bit of power to turn on the interior lights and panel lights, but it does not have enough to dis-engage park lock out electric solenoid.
