I have a 2001 yamaha roadstar 1600cc. Sometimes when I hit my starter switch and then let it go, my starter continues to turn over my engine. just as if I was holding down the starter switch. Have any answers?

Hi David,I suspect your starter solenoid is sticking.The SOLENOID is an electro-magnetic device that when 'charged' engages the starter drive gear,and battery voltage to the starter motor. corrosion,and or low battery charge could be the problem. Best O' Luck

I can't get the driver seat off of my 2002 Yamaha Roadstar 1600. Can anyone help, please?

Roadstars have a seat lock operated via ignition switch.
Insert the key into the ignition switch. Turn the key in the counter-clockwise direction as far as you can (don't push down on the key...just turn). You'll hear a click release sound from the front end of the seat. The seat front should now lift for you. Sometimes the lock can stick so you may need to push down on the seat front while turning the key to get the latch released.
