I have a wr426f yamaha bike that wont start at all. i checked the spark plug and usually there will be oil all over it after kicking it with out a start but its clean. i filled it up with oil and it still wont even try to start. any help?

No fuel or no spark. Quick test: spray some starter fluid into air intake and try to start it. If it runs and then dies, you've got spark but no fuel. If the bike quit with no prior symptoms, check spark plug wire not knocked loose, fuel filter clogged. (You do have gas, right?)
So you've tested a spare spark plug sitting outside grounded to cylinder and you defintely have good spark?
If so....is it getting fuel? Is the enricher (choke) working?l
The TTR-125 Carburetor's Run Lean by design. Mine had the same issues till I found a post on Thumpertalk.com on Carb and air box Mod. This is a good starting point on gets; 110 and 112.5 main and 17.5 pilot. But you must check spark plug coloring to make sure the jetting is correct. Check spark plug after the bike has been ridden for a wile. I also took out the stock baffle and replaced it with exhaust tip and now it fires up after a few kicks and worms up in a few minutes.
hummm check your electrical connections make sure you have the stop run switch is in run position,you have fuel flow to the carb, make sure you are getting spark to the spark plug by using a extra spark plug remove the plug cap and ground it to the head and kick start the engine and see if you are getting spark to the plug. hope this helps
that shouldn't stop it from starting unless they were hanging out. in wich case you wouldn't be able to kick it over. you would see signs of oil leakage too. do you have fresh gas and good spark at plug?
Hi! You obviously look after your machine and very sensible when laying up, however as you are probably aware 2 strokes rely heavily on compression, A. to produce excellent combustion and B. to draw fuel into the chamber. So when you try kick starting you can't get enough revolutions to draw the correct amount of fuel into the cylinder, where as you push start you constantly turn over the engine increasing compression slightly and bingo it fires. Can you remember how when kick starting it before this problem the feel on resistance when kicking over? has it now become a lot easier? if so you possibly have worn or broken compression piston rings.
