What type of file is it? A WORD document? An Excel file?

You should open the email/SAVE the file to your computer C:drive first so you do not delete it by accident.

Go the the file where you saved it and open it using the program required to view it. Example if a word document, you need to use Microsoft word to view it or edit the document.

When done editing save it again or rename it to a different name this way YOUR editing will be saved also.

Edit your photo first using a program like MS Paint, Photoshop, etc..

Save it.

To attach a file, click "Attach a file" below the subject of your email.

Without much detail, you need a printer/scanner and

you'll need a photo editing program. Your printer may have installed one when you set it up

make sure the printer is turned on and your doc is ready to scan

go into the program and select either "import" or "Scan"

it should bring a scan screen up, select start or whatever term they use to begin.

once it is done scanning, the file should show on the screen.

SAVE IT NOW!!! just in case

from the options you should see one that says "send as email"

select that and your email should open.

send as normal with this attached.

i know i am not very specific but it will depend on the software you are using but these are the basic steps. i hope it helps.

You must download the picture file to you computer first. In your Email, right click on the picture file and "save as" to anywhere you want in your computer - preferably to your Pictures folder.

How do I alter my font size when printing emails?

I would say the best thing to do is bring up the emails in a word document, then you can change the size of the font by highlighting all the text then change the size of the font by using the top toolbars below the save, edit etc... buttons.

Power on brings the first screen "Vaio" up but then the screen goes black/blank and the "Windows XP Home Edition" page never comes up..any ideas. PS I am experienced with desktops primarily....

Before Vaio comes up, start pushing F1 or F8 or F11. If it lets you in to restore your comp, do it. That's the only way to fix this. You will lose all your files and info on your laptop though.

MS-DOS edit command help edit myfile.txt <press enter>. This would bring up a blank edit screen, as long as the file is saved upon exit this will create the file myfile.txt.

Linux and UNIX xset command help The 'reset' flag forces deactivation of screen saver if it is active. The 'blank' flag sets the preference to blank the video (if the hardware can do so)
